"Living Archipelago" produced for the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia. It is a concept for creating more and more valuable tourism in Croatia. Books are made for sailors, not in the common way only includes the necessary sailing maps, but it also present the different areas and creates willingness to see more and do more. In that way they encourage sailors to leave the water and spent some time and money discovering local attractions. About the author:
The author of the project is Julije Skelin who was born in Drnis (nearby Split) and spent his whole active life working on the similar projects in enlivening the Swedish Archipelago.
The author of the text is a famous navigation expert and a journalist Ebbe Gustafsson who sailed the whole Adriatic coast and the islands himself. His experience enriched by the photos of the famous Croatian photographers Ivo Pervan and Andria Karli.
